michael topaltzas
Michael started CrossFit training in 2015 while studying mechanical engineering at Virginia Tech. “I was instantly hooked after my first CrossFit class. I looked up to my coaches, and thought to myself ‘I want to be a CrossFit coach one day.’” After graduating, Michael moved back to Maryland, took his Level-1, and began coaching at his local affiliate. His passion for coaching has only grown, and he’s always striving to provide the best class experience to his athletes. “I love being a CrossFit coach because I enjoy seeing people accomplish things they never thought they could. It’s so empowering to our athletes, and I want everyone to experience that at CrossFit 795.”
Kyra Heller
Kyra was introduced to CrossFit in 2015 and quickly realized that it offered something special. The community, methodology, and inclusivity of CrossFit’s workouts are a few of the reasons that she pursued her Level-1. At her Level-2 seminar, Kyra was asked why she coaches? Her response, “CrossFit has influenced my life beyond measure. The gym is much more than just a place to work out; it’s a platform to train for life’s challenges. I realized that doing hard things, with a community of inspiring people, made me a better human being. I want every person who walks into our affiliate to be afforded that opportunity. That is why I coach.”
John Rojas
John started CrossFit training early January 2024. He quickly got hooked on the program and the community it builds. After attending multiple classes, he found out about the coaching program for CrossFit and decided to continue developing his fitness by teaching others. He signed up for CF-1 and began shadowing Coach Michael. “Embarking on this fitness journey is much more fun and easy when it’s done with others who share the same goal.”
